Ingredients:
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus
- 2-3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
Procedure:
1. Melt the butter or margarine in a skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Add the garlic and asparagus spears, cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until asparagus is tender.
3. If you like your asparagus well done, reduce heat and cook an additional 10 minutes.
4. Transfer sauteed asparagus to a plate and sprinkle a fried garlic bits and serve.
3. If you like your asparagus semi-crisp, a minute or two after it turns bright green and right before it starts to brown is when it is perfect.
4. Add a splash of white wine maybe 1 1/2 minutes before it's done. (A simple tweak but optional)
5. Transfer to a plate and sprinkle a fried garlic bits and serve.
