PORK STEAK RECIPE

Looking for a food for lunch? Or for your kid's lunch box? This I will recommend.

Another simple and easy-to-cook pork recipe. Though it was simple, the result was delicious and worthy of an extra cup of rice. Usually, pork chops are used for this recipe but you can use other parts of the pork like tenderloins, etc. It is also often found in student lunch boxes apart from processed foods.

Ingredients

Pork chops
5 tablespoons soy sauce
3-5 pieces calamansi
Cooking oil
2 pieces onions sliced
Water
½ teaspoon granulated white sugar
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Combine pork chops, soy sauce, and calamansi juice in a bowl. Marinate for at least 30 mins to 1 hour. (marinating it overnight is better)
2. In a pan, add oil and pan-fry the marinated pork chops in medium heat for 3 minutes per side.
3. Remove excess oil. Pour the remaining marinade and water and let boil. Simmer for 45 minutes or until the pork is tender. Note: Add water as needed.
5. Add sugar, salt, and pepper then stir.
6. Put the onions and cook for 3 minutes more.
7. Turn-off heat and transfer to a serving plate.
8. Enjoy with hot steamed rice.
