This Bagoong Alamang or Shrimp Paste is a common ingredient in cooking like in Pinakbet and Binagoongan and it’s the best pair for Kare-Kare. It is often made into a dipping sauce for unripened mango either spicy or not it give the best taste partner. But this recipe is simply cooked specially for Kare-Kare.
Ingredients:
oil
garlic
onion
vinegar
powdered pepper
sugar (washed)
shrimp paste
Instruction:
1. Put and heat oil in a pan or wok.
2. Saute garlic and onion.
3. Put the raw shrimp paste.
4. Add vinegar, powdered pepper, and sugar then stir once in a while.
5. Cook in low heat for 10 to 15 minutes until the color turns brown.
6. Serve and partner with kare-kare.
