WINGED BEANS RECIPE

Sigarilyas or winged beans is a #SimplengLuto or simple cuisine that most Filipino family loves. Can be sauteed and can also be cooked in coconut milk and served with meat, chicken, shrimp, and fish. If someone gave you this vegetable and you don't know how to cook it, this is one of the simplest ways how.

Ingredients:

  Sigarilyas/ winged beans
  2 cups of coconut milk
  garlic
  onion
  green chillies
  red chillies
  shrimp paste/alamang
  powdered pepper
  seasoning
  pork liempo/kasim 
  OR
  chicken  atay-baluman
  dried fish ( labahita)
  fresh sugpo/hipon

Procedure

1. Saute garlic and onion with or without oil will do.
2. Add shrimp paste, better if you toast it a little
3. Include fried/boiled meat and saute
4. And pour in the coconut milk, stir well until it boils
5. Add the winged beans if the coconut milk is about to thicken, stir occasionally
6. Add the seasonings and green chilies
7. Cook until the coconut milk is absorbed by the vegetables.
8 Serve and enjoy!
